Electronic plug-in transformers

Normally plug-in transformers of the mechanical type are used in the power range 10, 20 and 50 W. When power requirements are greater the mechanical transformers usually will be too heavy and are also not equipped with the well developed protection features of the reliable electronic transformers such as softstart etc.
